Little Lion Man — Mumford & Sons

Little Lion Man by Mumford & Sons (2009)

I love music.

I love experiencing the energy, feeling the emotion. And that isn’t restricted to any particular type of music. In fact, whenever anyone asks me about my preferences I typically respond with something akin to, “I like it all,” which is very near the truth. Naturally, there are songs in virtually every genre that I don’t take to, but I can confidently say that there are no musical styles for which you’ll hear me say, “Oh no, I won’t listen to that

So, I am always thrilled when folks introduce me to new songs, bands or styles

What you’ll be treated to a little farther down the page is precisely one of those introductions. This is an incredible song that was brought to my attention by a good friend, Bryon Beck.

Little Lion Man is the copyright of Mumford & Sons, licensed by Island Records (UK) and Glassnote (US).

Unless you are eternally allergic to energy, goodness, raw emotion and other similar things that make life worth living, I suspect that you are going to find your foot pounding unbidden to the infectious rhythm of this song.

Let go. Enjoy. Drink in the positive and then spread it.

Awesome. Totally awesome.

I’ve never been a true musician. Sure, I fronted a band in college (I always thought Seven Shades of Blue was a pretty cool name for a band), but I’ve never studied music or learned how to play an instrument. So, in some ways, I think I am incapable of truly appreciating the majesty of really good music. I believe deep down, though, the truest majesty of any music is in its ability to evoke emotion.

And *THAT* I know I’ve got a handle on.

Little Lion Man definitely did that for me. What about you?

Honored that you stopped by and took the time to comment, Sas. That John Butler song is incredible.

I'm definitely in your debt for opening my eyes to that one. Thanks!
